First smoothie of the day didn’t taste as good as I’d hoped. I started the day with what I will call my French Vanilla Wake-Up Cup. I took 9.5 ounces of chilled coffee and added two scoops of Muscle Milk Vanilla protein powder (70g protein), Fat Free French Vanilla creamer, and ice. I did a lot of talking about how I couldn't wait to begin this process, and here it is! So let me share a bit of what I have done to prepare.

...and by drink, I'm alluding to the liquid diet. It's amazing to me that time is flying by so fast. I'm one week+1 day from starting this liquid diet. It's going to be the longest two weeks ever... Or at least that's my perception of it on this side of the struggle. *chuckles* I may start this liquid diet and it could fly by just as quickly as the days leading up to it have.

I am getting closer and closer to December 30, which is the date that I begin my liquid diet. 20 DAYS TO GO! Now, for those that are just joining me for this blog, the liquid diet’s purpose is to prepare my body for the surgery by shrinking my liver and clearing my intestines. It’s gross, I KNOW, but I would rather follow the diet than to have a complication during surgery which involves the leaking of my intestine’s contents into my body cavity. Eew. So, let me fill everyone
